BREATHING WALLS

A Breathing Wall naturally diffuses air and water between the interior and exterior. 
A breathing wall acts as a third skin. (We were born with our first skin, clothes are our second skin.)
Building with vapor tight walls is like wearing a rubber suit. Vapor tight walls eventually will trap
moisture leading to mold, rot and other problems. Historically all buildings were built with breathing
walls-strawbale, adobe, rammed earth, clay/straw, rock/brick/plaster. Breathing walls are living
walls.

The blocks are made from recycled wood chips and cement. They are filled with concrete and rebar to resist earthquakes and fire. They have been used in Europe for over 60 years.

Easy to Construct: 
•I.C.B.O. & U.B.C. approved
•Modular layout, stacks like legos, dry stacked filled with reinforced concrete
•Available in a variety of Sizes: (8”, 10”,12” widths, 2’ & 3’ lengths)
•Available in a variety of shapes: corner blocks, end blocks, bond beam blocks
•Can be stacked by carpenters, masons, or
supervised unskilled labor. 
•Can be cut with standard power tools
